Kanwar Dhillon’s solo hero effort fails?

By Anil Merani: The Star Plus series “Udne Ki Aasha” may face cancellation soon if its ratings do not improve. The show led by Kanwar Dhillon received a poor rating of 1.4 this week, which is not acceptable for Star executives. Generally, the network starts considering axing shows that dip below 2.

The producer, Rahul Tewari, has until the end of the IPL in May to improve the show’s ratings. After that, the network will not take any chances. The story of “Udne Ki Aasha” is relatively commonplace, where a hard-working girl meets a boy with an attitude. The show’s script and cast are letting it down, with weak writing being the primary issue.

Poor Bharat Jethwani, who expected a great debut with “Udne Ki Aasha,” may face disappointment if the channel cancels the show. The low economic backdrop is not  helping the show’s visuals, but a lower budget can also give the production team some breathing space.

If the show is canceled, Rahul Tewari may suffer a significant financial loss, as the show has only recently aired. Rahul Tiwari is the brother and former partner of Siddharth Tewari, a well-known producer who has excelled in mythological shows( Mahabharat, RadhaKrishn Srimad Ramayan. Perhaps, social dramas ” is not Rahul’s forte.

Kanwar Dhillon, who gained popularity from his role in “Pandya Store,” hopes his fans will support him as a solo hero in “Udne Ki Aasha.” Unfortunately, the show’s ratings are not reflecting the fans’ social media noise.
